COLIN DANCEL
Colin Dancel’s striking imagery is artfully composed and tinged slightly with melancholy. It makes us think, reflect, brings us to a different space, makes us feel things. Cheeky and rich with references, relentless but guided by intuition and emotion, Colin is definitely our girl.
What was it like working with Bagasao?
I always love working with people who trust me and let me be even if it means gym balls and twirling on chairs! Seph has become so dear to me and that is something I will always be grateful for.
Are there pieces that you saw and remember liking?
The Apron Top I wore for this shoot, most definitely! I love it so much! I think it’s because of its structure, how it hugs my body and its versatility as well.
How do you stay creative and driven during quarantine?
I have just been drowning myself in reading and in research. My curiosity really brings me to places and that is something that I am leveraging on creatively at the moment. I have so many shoot ideas I want to produce based on ideologies that I read about and I might not be able to do them now but at least it’s banked.
Has something changed in your creative process?
I’ve become very restless so my approach to creativity is always changing. Where I get it from however, has remained truly depending on my emotional state. Haha!
